In a lender liability suit filed against the First National Bank of Athens, Texas, which involved claims by the plaintiff of millions in damages, a Van Zandt County jury unanimously found no liability on the part of the bank and awarded the plaintiff nothing.
Further, the bank was awarded a judgment for the full amount of its note and the Judge entered an order foreclosing on the property in question. The bank was represented in the matter by POTTER MINTON PC (Mike Jones and Glenn Thames, attorneys and Tiffany Deese, legal assistant) and by Mr. Richard Ray of Canton as local counsel.
