Glenn Thames successfully defended an East Texas city in a suit brought by an individual alleging wrongful arrest, prosecution, and imprisonment. This individual was imprisoned for 17 years before being released as a result of DNA testing. The potential multi-million dollar suit was successfully defeated on summary judgment within months of the suit being filed. The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit subsequently dismissed the plaintiff’s appeal.
