Children’s Advocacy Center – Commitment to Community

Potter Minton, in partnership with Gillam & Smith, recently demonstrated its support of the Children’s Advocacy Center of Smith County by dedicating an observation room in honor of Rhett Michael Rippy, the beloved grandson of Mike Collins, a local private investigator that began his career at Potter Minton and with whom both firms have worked closely for decades. Rhett lived a short but incredibly meaningful life that deserved to be honored in a permanent and meaningful way and the two firms agreed that the Children’s Advocacy Center (CAC) was a perfect fit. The observation room honoring Rhett will further the mission of CAC to help victims of child abuse get justice, find hope and start healing. The dedication ceremony was held Monday, September 29, 2025, at CAC’s beautiful new building. Our hope is that the space gives children a place of comfort and safety to share their stories with those who are there to help.
