On Tuesday, August 2, 2016, the Literacy Council of Tyler hosted their annual fund-raising Corporate Spelling Bee. The theme this year was Fables and Fairy Tales. Team Potter chose Beeauty and the Beeast as their team name. As you can see there were many worthy, and even royal competitors. Several Potter Minton employees were in the audience cheering for our appointed spellers.
Our strategy was pretty simple. Send back the same Potter Minton victors as before, which were Ron Stutes and Jo Vallery. The stress for each team was palpable as other teams were eliminated one by one, until there were just two. Those left competing for the trophy were representatives from Gollub Morgan and Peddy, and our very own Potter Minton team.
And the winner was……. Potter Minton!!
Congratulations once again to Ron & Jo, for bringing home the trophy and for continuing to make us all so proud.
