Community is important at Potter Minton. In addition to serving the legal needs of our clients in the East Texas area and beyond, the attorneys and staff at Potter Minton strive to become active and contributing members of the Tyler community through civic engagement and other volunteer endeavors.
Doug McSwane, former shareholder and current Of-Counsel attorney at Potter Minton, and his wife, Mo McSwane, are the standard bearers for the type of character and resolve that the attorneys and staff at Potter Minton strive to attain. In the wake of personal tragedy after the loss of their son Patrick to mental illness, Mo and Doug have worked tirelessly to shine a spotlight on the severity of mental illness in the East Texas community, and to end the stigma that has for too long been associated with mental illness.
In recognition of Mo and Doug’s extensive efforts to help treat and cure mental illness in the Tyler Community, Mo and Doug received the T.B. Butler Award for Tyler’s Most Outstanding Citizens for 2015 at the Tyler Area Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Meeting on October 4, 2016. We are incredibly proud of Mo and Doug, and cannot think of more worthy recipients.
