Mike Jones, Allen Gardner and John Bufe, shareholders in the Firm, have been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list as top attorneys in Texas for 2014. No more than 5 percent of the lawyers in the state are selected by Super Lawyers.
Mr. Jones practices predominately in the area of intellectual property litigation, representing numerous clients in intellectual property and patent litigation. His experience in patent litigation has led him to serving repeatedly on the faculty of the American Law Institute – American Bar Association “Trial of a Patent Suit” seminar.
Throughout his 36 years of experience as a trial lawyer, Mr. Jones has handled a diverse array of complex litigation involving intellectual property, personal injury, product liability, professional liability, environmental liability, media liability, class-actions, and business controversies, representing both plaintiffs and defendants. Mr. Jones is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Gardner’s practice focuses primarily upon complex commercial litigation, working for both Plaintiffs and Defendants. He has represented clients in a wide variety of litigation matters, including Patent and Intellectual Property, Commercial, Antitrust, Products Liability and Appellate.
Mr. Bufe handles civil litigation in Federal and State Courts, in Arbitration, and before various regulatory agencies.Being Board Certified in Labor and Employment law, much of his litigation experience has involved employment disputes. In addition, Mr. Bufe has handled complex commercial matters, including trials before the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Texas where he previously served as a Chapter 7 Trustee. He also regularly participates in intellectual property and patent litigation in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Texas.
