Potter Minton received an Award of Commendation from the Smith County Bar Foundation for partnering with Lone Star Legal Aid to provide volunteer attorney services to low income individuals in Smith County, Texas. It was presented at the Annual Law Day ceremony on May 2, 2009.
Potter Minton is the first large law firm in Smith County to make a firm wide commitment to provide volunteer attorney services to needy Smith County residents referred to them by Lone Star Legal Aid. This commitment has made it possible for the 16 attorneys in the firm to volunteer on a regular basis to assist those in need and has served to motivate and challenge other large firms in the Tyler area to provide the same volunteer opportunities to their attorneys.
Continuing the path they have begun, Potter Minton attorneys remain 100% dedicated to another year of partnering with Lone Star Legal Aid. The Potter Firm values its attorneys exercising leadership roles in professional activities and in civic affairs in the Tyler area.
