The second edition of Allen Gardner’s publication, Texas Elements of an Action, (2010-11 ed.), Volume 16 of the Texas Practice Series, has been updated and published by West, a Thompson Reuters business. His book walks you through legal analysis of the required elements for various state-law causes of action arising under Texas Law. It also provides the basic steps to follow when drafting petitions and answers, and includes county-specific requirements. In addition, it includes tables on specific venue provisions, affirmative defenses, and statutes of limitations.
