John F. Bufe, Allen F. Gardner and Michael E. Jones, shareholders, have been named to the Texas Super Lawyers list for 2015. Super Lawyers selects attorneys annually, using a patented rigorous multi-phased process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and evaluation on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Mr. Bufe handles complex commercial matters, including trials before the U.S. Bankruptcy Court where he served as a Chapter 7 Trustee in the Eastern District of Texas from 1986 to 1990. He regularly handles civil litigation in Federal and State Courts; in Arbitration; and before various Regulatory Agencies. Being Board Certified in Labor and Employment law since 1983, much of his litigation experience has involved employment disputes.
Mr. Gardner has represented clients in a wide variety of litigation matters, including Patent and Intellectual Property, Commercial, Antitrust, Products Liability and Appellate. His practice focuses primarily upon complex commercial litigation, working for both Plaintiffs and Defendants.
Mr. Jones has tried cases involving patent infringement and patent invalidity, antitrust, lender liability, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, trust and estate issues, construction disputes, attorney malpractice, medical malpractice, and personal injury. He tries lawsuits in state and federal courts, emphasizing in intellectual property litigation, oil and gas litigation and commercial litigation. His trial experience is broad and extensive. He has successfully tried cases to juries for both plaintiffs and defendants.
