  • Ownership Transactions. Negotiation, review and preparation of various types of conveyance instruments and agreements related to the transfer or leasing of minerals, including mineral and royalty conveyances and reservations, oil, gas and other mineral leases, assignments of oil, gas and mineral leases or undivided working interests, assignments and reservations of royalties, assignments and reservations of overriding royalty interests or other interests in production, surface use agreements, pipeline and other right of way agreements, life estates and other interests in minerals or royalty.
  • Operating Transactions. Negotiation, review and preparation of diverse agreements related to acquisition, operation, exploration, production, and development of mineral properties including unitization agreements, production sharing agreements, farmout agreements, purchase and sale agreements, joint operating agreements, exploration agreements, partnership agreements, and assorted agreements concerning acquisition and sale of non-producing and producing oil and gas properties.
  • Title Opinions. Potter Minton attorneys have years of experience and a long-standing reputation for expertise in title work. We advise our clients regarding their rights under industry agreements, as well as title questions.
  • Litigation. The firm represents companies and individuals in all types of energy related litigation. Our experience in oil and gas lawsuits includes disputes over rights and obligations under oil and gas leases, operating and unit agreements, exploration and production agreements, oil and gas purchase and transportation agreements, service contracts, drainage actions, royalty disputes, title disputes and environmental matters.
